How Much Does Mediation Cost?

Our first focus is to make sure you can receive timely and relevant information and to discuss your options for moving forward. There is no charge for our initial consultation.

Once mediation is agreed upon the costs are usually divided by both parties engaged in the mediation or, as is often is the case, your employer may cover mediation fees.

Costs are based upon an hourly fee or pre-set with the engaging parties.

In specific cases, to help reduce the burden and make the confflict  mediatiion accessible , Turning Points  will also offer a sliding scale  rate based upon income

Is Mediation Really Confidential?
Confidientiallity is critical to a successfuel dispute or conflict resolution process. All participants will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement to ensure all parties can speak freely and honestly.
Does Mediation Really Work?

Mediation and Conflict Resolution has a proven and documented success rate of approximately 80% for most types of disputes.

Mediation is voluntary and must be agreed upon by all paricipants. This willingness to resolve disputes and prevent future conflicts makes mediation an excellent solution in almost all cases of dispute.

Does A Mediatior Act As A Judge?
A Mediatiors job is to help faciltate open and direct communication to help resolve conflicts. The Mediator is non-jundgemental and neutral. All conflicts are resolved by mutual agreement
Are Mediated Agreements Binding?
There are different forms and outcomes of a mediated agreement. Generally Mediation agreements are not legally binding unless both parties agree to the terms and sign their memorandum of understanding, at which point it becomes a contract.
